Blades should be oiled with a couple of drops before each use for a better cut and reduced wear.

Special lubricants assist quiet operation and extend blade life by reducing friction. Coats surfaces of blades with an ultra-thin film of corrosion prevention. A few drops used regularly help ensure longer clipper and blade life together with a better cut.

Other applications: Use for pre-soaking, honing and sharpening. Helps avoid glazing.

Wahl clipper adjustments:

Using Wahl Oil

Clipper blades should be oiled before each cut. Place a few drops of oil on the teeth of the blades. For heavy use, oil regularly and ensure you don't overheat the blades. Only use WAHL oil (do not use WD40). Due to the high speed of your Wahl Clipper, the correct type of oil must be used. Do not use hair oil, grease or any oil mixed with kerosene or any solvent as the solvent will evaporate and leave the thick oil, slowing down the blades. WAHL Clipper Oil is a very thin, natural oil which will not evaporate and will not slow down the blades.

Using Wahl Oil

Power Screw. This is set by Wahl and should not need adjustment. To adjust power, turn the power screw in clockwise direction until you hear a noise. Then slowly turn the power screw out (counter-clockwise) just until the noise stops. This is the maximum power. The clattering when turning the machine on or off is of no consequence; the same for moderate heating and vibration.
Wahl Blade Alignment Alignment. The sketch shows how the bottom blade holes are larger than the shanks of the blade screws. When the blade screws are loosened the bottom blade can be aligned with the top blade. Keep the screws tight after the blade is aligned.

Wahl Blade Alignment

1. The end of the top blade teeth should be 1/32", 0.79mm to 1.59mm back from the bottom blade. This is important so that the clipper doesn't cut too close or allow the moving cutter to touch the skin.

2. Extreme left hand tooth of top blade must be covering or be to the left of the first small tooth of bottom blade.

3. Extreme right hand tooth of top blade must be touching the big tooth on the bottom blade.
