The history of Chacom dates back to the Comoy family who began manufacturing pipes in 1825, first in France and later establishing Comoy of London. In 1928 with the assistance of Comoy's extended family, the Chapuis, the factory in Saint Claude France launched the Chacom brand bearing the first 3 letters of each family's name.
